The Township of Nipigon is preparing for its first hybrid municipal and school board election, providing eligible electors with three convenient ways to cast their ballots: online, by telephone or by paper ballot.
Online and telephone voting will be available continuously over the six-day voting period. Paper-ballot voting and in-person electronic voting assistance will be available at the Nipigon Community Centre on Advance Voting Day and Voting Day.
Online and Telephone Voting
Electronic voting will open on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. and remain available continuously until Monday, October 26, 2026, at 8:00 p.m., including October 22–25.

Voting Day
Voting Day will take place on:

10:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
This is the final day to vote in the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election. All voting options will close at 8:00 p.m. Electors who are already inside the voting location at 8:00 p.m. will be permitted to finish voting.
Paper-ballot voting and assistance with electronic voting will be available at the Nipigon Community Centre.
Watch for Your Voter Information Letter
Voter Information Letters will be arriving by mail shortly. Each letter contains the elector’s PIN and important instructions for voting online or by telephone.
Electors are encouraged to watch their mail and keep their Voter Information Letter in a safe place until they have voted.
Electors who do not receive a Voter Information Letter can still vote in person electronically or by paper ballot. Please bring valid identification and proof of residence showing your name and qualifying address to the Nipigon Community Centre on October 21 or October 26.
