Municipal elections in Ontario are held every four years and are governed by the Municipal Elections Act. The next municipal election will be Monday, October 26, 2026. The nomination period will run from May 1, 2026 to August 21, 2026. The new Term of Office will start November 15, 2026.The Township of Nipigon elects one mayor and four councillors.
