2026 Pulverizing & Paving Projects

The Township of Nipigon is completing paving work on several roadways as part of our Annual Pulverize & Pave.

Roads Being Rehabilitated

• Greenmantle Drive – approximately 400 m
  • Bell Street – approximately 225 m
  • 9th Street – approximately 150 m

 Pulverizing – COMPLETED

Pulverizing operations have now been completed on the affected roadways.

 Road Preparation – COMPLETED / ONGOING

The roadways have been graded and prepared for paving. Residents should continue to expect intermittent disruptions, reduced access, and temporary closures as final preparation work is completed.

 Paving – September 28 & 29

Final paving is scheduled to take place on September 28 and 29, 2026, weather and construction conditions permitting.

If additional time is required to complete the work, paving operations may extend through October 2, 2026.

Temporary road closures and significant traffic disruptions should be expected while paving operations are underway.

 What Residents Should Expect

Now through September 27:

•  Roads may remain passable between construction activities, with intermittent disruptions, reduced access, and temporary closures as final preparation work continues.

September 28–29:

•  Temporary road closures and significant traffic disruptions during paving operations.

September 30–October 2, if required:

•  Additional paving operations and temporary road closures may be required to complete the project.

Residents are encouraged to plan ahead, use alternate routes where possible, exercise caution around construction equipment, and follow all posted signage and directions from construction personnel.

Please do not enter areas that are actively under construction.
