The Nipigon River Bridge is an important feature of the community. With assisting traffic to cross the Nipigon River and Canada as a whole.
Opened in the spring of 2017, the Nipigon River Bridge replaced a 40 year old steel plated girder bridge. The new bridge is a cable-stayed bridge, the first of its kind in Ontario. The precast towers of the bridge serve as a signature aesthetic feature and stands 246 feet tall.
The Nipigon River Bridge has a viewing platform facing the river and is a great spot to catch the sunset. Walking paths take you across or under the bridge.
