Facilities

Recreation is an integral part of the Town of Nipigon for residents and tourists alike. The Nipigon Community Centre features an ice rink providing hockey, figure skating and recreational skating for all ages. During the off season, it is used for weddings, dances, the Fall Fishing Festival, roller blading, basketball and ball hockey. Other programs offered by the Recreation Department such as fitness classes, sewing, etc., are held in the newly completed Multi-purpose wing of the Nipigon Community Centre. 

For outdoor recreation activities, baseball diamonds, hiking trails, tennis courts, swimming pool and golf course are available. Cross-country ski trails, extensive snow mobile trails and a curling club provide plenty of opportunity to enjoy winter in the area.
