Live from the Rock Folk Festival
August 6 - 8, 2010

The Live From the Rock Folk Festival is a very special event taking place on the northern shore of the world’s largest lake the second weekend of every August. It’s an amazing gathering of an eclectic group of people who together form a magical community in the park. Many folks come back year after year and camp next to festival friends, joining them around the nightly campfire, listening to music on four stages from morning to midnight, admiring the works of artisans and consuming the great food sold on site by a variety of vendors. Together we celebrate non- commercial alternative music, artists, the north and community! The festival is completely volunteer run and all of us who dedicate countless hours to “the cause” do so because we love music and community.
We invite you to join us and become part of the Live From the Rock family. Come to the festival; and bring your family and friends. Apply to be a food vendor or artisan, volunteer or sign up to play on the open stage.
Please browse through the Live from the Rock website and check out the artists who’ve played in past years. The lineup is usually posted by March for each year’s festival but be assured that of the 25 or so artists who will be performing there will be artists who you will absolutely love – even if you’ve never heard of them before. Remember there are no rock stars in Red Rock; each artist is a vibrant part of our festival community. Every person who is at the festival is considered a V.I.P and that includes the volunteers, artists, sponsor, vendors and audience members. So come out this August and enjoy the natural beauty of the Red Rock waterfront, the good vibes and great people and the heartbeat that permeates everything through the weekend.
